Railway station platforms, Manchester Airport
Seen from the end of platform 4. Opened as a two platform station, over the years it has doubled in size as the number of trains serving the airport has increased. Out of frame to the right are two further platforms, for the Metrolink light rail system. Northern electric unit 319 450 stands at platform 1 (right), forming a stopping service to Manchester Piccadilly.
