St Paul's church, Kersal Moor is Grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1386157 It dates from 1851 but following a fire in 1987 the roof was lowered removing an original clerestory. The church has a double spire over 160 feet high. There were also 3 smaller spires at each of the three remaining corners of the tower but they were blown down and never replaced. The church stands at the highest point above sea level in the city of Salford.
