Manchester Metrolink - tram no. 2006 leaving Anchorage
The tram is about to turn left to reach Harbour City and then Broadway. The trams terminated at Broadway, when this photograph was taken. The full service to Eccles didn't start running until July 2000. Image

Manchester Metrolink - the descent to Anchorage
In the Salford Quays area, there is a long elevated section of the Manchester Metrolink. This section descends to ground level near the Anchorage tram stop, part of which can be seen in the foreground.

Manchester Metrolink - tram no. 2006 at Anchorage
Tram no. 2006, seen here at the Anchorage stop, was one of a batch of six specially built for use on the Eccles line. They were built by Firema in Italy, and entered service in 1999. Originally restricted to just this route, they are now sometimes to be seen on the Bury to Altrincham service. Image
