Ten Lords a-Leaping (Walking with the Snowman? #10)
Snowman number 10 on the Walking with The Snowman™ sculpture trail was situated at the side of ThePitch@MediaCityUK, behind the main buildings. Ten fictional members of the House of Lords leap across the sculpture in their red and white peerage robes. Artist Hammo (Nick Hamilton), who is a freelance illustrator and mural painter based in Manchester, painted them to reflect and celebrate the diversity of Britain.

BBC Philharmonic Studio
The violas, cellos and double basses of the BBC Philharmonic orchestra rehearsing with conductor Simon Wright, baritone Marcus Farnsworth and Leeds Festival Chorus (out of view around me). We were rehearsing Faure's Requiem in preparation for a concert the following Saturday in Leeds Town Hall.
Faure's Requiem needs various parts of the orchestra in each section. So in an evening rehearsal the sections are rehearsed out of sequence, allowing players to leave early if they aren't needed. The trombonists only stayed for 15 minutes. By the end of the rehearsal there were only the violas, cellos, double basses and piano (standing in for the organ which will be used in the concert), along with the choir and baritone soloist rehearsing the Offertorium.
