MediaCityUK Metrolink tram stop, Salford Quays, Salford
After a couple of false starts, due to problems with the new signalling system, this stop at the end of the short MediaCityUK branch is now open. Most of the branch is single track, but it becomes double track at the station, so as to serve the two platforms.

Lightwaves 2017 - 100 Faces and Places
Produced in collaboration with the Blackpool Illuminations, these portraits of 100 FACES & PLACES represent a snapshot of Greater Manchester. The photographs were taken by people from each of the county’s boroughs; Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan. The ‘faces’ include family and friends, young and old, from local workers to family pets. The ‘places’ capture special streets, architecture, schools and iconic buildings as perceived by the public. It is meant to provide a visual story of the boroughs, their inhabitants and locations.
