Addy monument, Weaste Cemetery, Salford
Mark Addy (d.1890), the 'Salford Hero'. An information board describes how Addy, a boatman and innkeeper, rescued more than fifty people from drowning in the Irwell, the first when he was aged only 13. He succumbed to a fatal illness after swallowing too much of its polluted water. Grade II listed.

Manchester Metrolink tram no. 1025 in South Langworthy Road
The tram is approaching Kansas Avenue and will soon enter the Salford Quays area. It is on its way to Manchester City Centre and Piccadilly Railway Station, where the service terminates. The roads off South Langworthy Road are home to many different industrial enterprises.

MediaCityUK UTC, Broadway
In May 2012, the Department for Education announced that they supported the development of a new University Technical College (UTC) at MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, which will open in 2015. UTC@MediaCityUK, as it will be known, will be based in a 6200 sqm building currently being constructed on the site located at the junction of South Langworthy Road and Broadway and will specialise in the creative and digital industries.
