Manchester Metrolink tram no. 2003 at Broadway tram stop, Salford Quays, Salford
The tram is on its way to the terminus in Eccles town centre by Morrisons Supermarket. After leaving this stop, the tramway goes across a traffic signal controlled junction with Broadway, into South Langworthy Road. From South Langworthy Road until just before the terminus, the tramway is street running, sharing the highway with other traffic.

Manchester Metrolink - looking towards Broadway tram stop, Salford Quays
The crossover track is to enable trams to move onto or from the Media City extension. Normally it will be served by a shuttle service to and from Cornbrook, but in quiet periods trams on the Piccadilly-Eccles service will call there both when going to Eccles, and when going to Piccadilly.
