Chowbent Chapel
The present chapel was built in 1721, built using local oak from the Hulton Estate and local labour. It is made of hand made bricks with stone detailing.

Chowbent Unitarian Chapel
Chowbent Unitarian Chapel (http://www.chowbent-unitarian-chapel.org.uk/ ) is the oldest place of worship in Atherton. The present building was erected in 1721 (although the chapel was first established in 1645). It is a Grade II* listed building.
