Chowbent Unitarian Chapel
Chowbent Unitarian Chapel (http://www.chowbent-unitarian-chapel.org.uk/ ) is the oldest place of worship in Atherton. The present building was erected in 1721 (although the chapel was first established in 1645). It is a Grade II* listed building.

Bridge & mill
This bridge is at the Atherton end of "The Valley"; the stream runs behind "Rope & Anchor" pub just visible to far right of photo. The old mill still dominates, though there is no spinning or weaving in the town now as far as I know.
