Atherton Cemetery
Atherton Cemetery is on Leigh Road between Atherton town centre and Howe Bridge. The first burial at the cemetery was in February 1857.
There are two mortuary chapels in the cemetery; both are now disused. The one in the picture is the Church of England chapel.
