Pseudo-classical flim-flam
This is the corner of The "Barton Square" Aquarium building at the Trafford centre. The whole centre is decorated in the most vulgar style, a sort of mad-designer vision of what the classical era would look like today.
That's a tramway pole in the foreground, construction was still ongoing when I visited.

Metrolink Tram at the Trafford Centre
Metrolink Bombardier tram number 3068 heading towards Cornbrook on the Trafford Park line, is about to pass under the covered footway which connects the two parts of the Trafford Centre, either side of Barton Dock Road.

Decor in excess
The first floor of the Barton Square building at the Trafford Centre, at the entrance to the covered walkway to the shops.
The decor here is so over-the-top as to go beyond ugly. It starts here, but believe me it gets worse before it gets better. Except it doesn't get better at all.

A tunnel in the sky
This is the covered walkway between the Barton Square aquarium building and the Trafford square shopping centre. No surface is untouched by the weird decorative style that disfigures the whole place.
