Flixton station - looking west
In 1988, the main station building had been sold for use as a wine bar/ restaurant and was being renovated, while a new footbridge was provided for rail users.

Flixton railway station, Greater Manchester
Opened in 1873 by the Cheshire Lines Committee on the line from Manchester Central to Liverpool Central via Warrington.
View east towards Chassen Road and Manchester. The old station building, which was on the right beyond the footbridge, burned down in 1997.
