Not much remains of this street. It is fenced off at the railway bridge, but a road goes off to the right, by the bridge, and is named New Viaduct Street.

Gasholder, Bradford
One of two giant gasholders built for the Bradford Gasworks in the second half of the nineteenth century. Up until the late 1960s, the gasworks together with Bradford Colliery and Bradford Ironworks (Richard Johnson and Nephew) dominated a heavily industrialised landscape which has now almost completely disappeared; giving way to a hypermarket and Sportscity (Velodrome, football stadium etc) with all their associated car parks.

Gasometer near A6010 road, Manchester
These huge gas storage structures are to many people nothing other than an eyesore. However some have actually been listed as historic structures. The vast majority which haven't, have been disappearing rapidly over the past decade, so that very few remain. Possibly this one is listed, but if not it will not be around a great deal longer.
