Burned Out Bank
This shell has had a varied history as a bank and later a theatre and public house (note the bare triangle probably denoting a Bass establishment). One of several buildings which have suffered fire damage along this stretch of Chapel Street.

Relic of the Cold War
Secure behind a double fence, here is the Salford entry point to the Guardian Exchange, the Cold War communication bunker built under central Manchester in the 1950s. This structure is located about half a mile away from the central Manchester entry point (see Image ) and is close to Salford Cathedral. This structure has been rebuilt in recent years, following a break in. See also Image for the Ardwick equivalent.
