I noticed a plaque on this building, so got out to take a look. It says that the electrical engineering company had a factory here in 1897. Ferranti was founded in 1885 and went bankrupt in 1993. I have not included a link to the Wikipedia entry, as the Wiki page talks about links on a blacklist. I don't know what it means, but thought it safer not to join this entry with that site.
