88-100 Quay Street
The art-deco building at the junction of New Quay Street and Quay Street was once a garage. For some time it was occupied by ProVision, a company that supplied equipment to the Film and TV industry http://manchesterhistory.net/manchester/tours/tour1/area1page65.html Now it is part of OGS Works, Allied London's "hello" project http://web.archive.org/web/20150217172346/http://oldgranadastudios.com/workspace/88-100-quay-street/

Granada Television Complex, Quay Street
Between 1954, when they were awarded the broadcasting franchise, and 1956, when transmission first began, Granada TV commissioned this purpose built studio and broadcasting complex.
The distinctive red "Granada" lettering seen on Image] was removed in September 2010 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granada_Television ). Now there is only the rather bland "ITV" logo.
It is expected that the Granada operations will be transferred to new faclities on the media city UK site and next to the Imperial War Museum (either side of the Ship Canal at Salford Quays) by 2012.
