Heaton Street
Sundome House on the corner of Derby Street and Heaton Street was a manufacturer of sunbeds but appears to be no longer trading. Heaton Street has been mostly subsumed by Manchester Road South which runs one way westwards parallel to the M67 motorway on the left.

Another Dead End
The M67 motorway was intended to provide an adequate road route between Manchester and South Yorkshire. Regrettably, only a short section has ever been completed. At this western end of the M67 the intended flyover for east-west traffic has never been provided, leading to considerable jams for both through and local traffic for most of the day. The photograph was taken on the middle of a damp Saturday with traffic queuing for several hundred yards.
