Gravestone at Christ Church, Denton
Spotted this inscription...."Dane Shot Bank".....Which was until about 20 years ago, close to our house in Danebank......Now bulldozed away! There was a row of houses on...."Daneshot Street".....and in one of the gardens was a stone, with the inscription......"Danish Chief was shot here" I have often wondered the fate of this historic stone!
