Taylor Lane
On the left is the warehouse, distribution hub and training centre of Multiple Winding http://www.multiplewinding.co.uk/ The firm started in 1916 supplying textile yarns, woven fabrics and multi-end wound fibres. In the First World War they specialised in the production of cotton coverings for telephony cables. The company is now under the ownership of B&W Fibreglass.

The large unit formerly occupied by Tesco home plus in 2009 Image has recently been taken over by Wilko, who have closed their store in nearby Hyde, The Works, Holland & Barrett and TK Maxx. Costa Coffee, Sports Direct and GAME are still here but the Bank store has been replaced by Poundland.
