Could it be magic?
One of the community hats on the Hats Off To Denton Sculpture Trail in the Ashton Road window of Vaughan and Lester, garden and homeware store.
Magic is the inspiration for this design, including both tarot and playing cards as well as books and manuscripts from a magician's library. The design is by Erin O'Leary Jackson a Year 11 student at Denton Community College, studying Art & Design as one of her GCSEs.

Shops on Ashton Road
#37 on the left is now Di's Diner. In 2009 (Streetview historic imagery) the premises were "Labour Direct" Employment Services. By 2011 it had become "her holeyness" advertising a range of services for tattooing and body piercing to hypnotherapy and body massage. By 2014 it had become "Stay True" tattoo parlour and "Aphrodites" body piercing and tattoo removal.
#39 is "Creations", hair and beauty.
#41 was Shelley's sandwich bar in 2009 but by 2016 had become Di's Diner. The diner closed in 2018 and was replaced by ANR Aesthetics.
Di's Diner has now reopened at #39.
