Unknown Object STA 043
This is one of several objects alongside the footpath from Dunkirk Farm to St Annes Road, Denton. It has been suggested that they are piezometer tubes for measuring water pressure (and hence groundwater level) or possibly fixed stations for surveying.

Church of St Anne, Haughton
St Anne's Church is a Grade I Listed Building (http://public.tameside.gov.uk/forms/listedbuildings.asp?propno=0570600202000&district=Denton&address= Tameside MBC). It was built in 1881 in brick in the Gothic Revival style, but also utilised timber framing. The lychgate and rectory that adjoin the main church are also of architectural significance, and each is on the register of protected buildings (grade II) in its own right.
