The shop on the corner was up for auction in August 2011 Image but seems to be only now undergoing restoration.

The vacant property on the corner has hardly changed since it was partially-restored in 2012 Image whilst the shop on the other side of Shah's takeaway is now a tattoo parlour.

The once derelict premises Image on the corner of Market Street and Victoria Street, Denton, now appear to have been renovated and almost ready to open.

The property on the corner of Market Street and Victoria Street was quite derelict in 2011 Image having previously been JC Amusements. Some restoration took place in 2012 Image but it was still empty in 2015 Image and 2016 Image Now however it is Denton Delights

One of the giant hats on the Hats Off To Denton Sculpture Trail. Located in a corner of Denton Civic Square, Young Denton is a celebration of young people and their town. The hat features ideas and design elements submitted by primary school children across Denton. It was designed by Caroline Coates. Caroline Coates is inspired by working with people. She is an illustrator, community artist and craft tutor who specialises in getting people interested in art and helping them create their own. Working in Manchester and across the North West, Caroline’s illustrations mix the traditional and contemporary to tell a story. She is an experienced trail artist having painted over 30 sculptures all over the UK.

Originally this was a branch of the Manchester & Liverpool District Banking Co Ltd. With the exception of the corners, it was constructed entirely of header bond where the header bricks are set in courses that are offset by half the brick width. The foundation courses are of engineering blue brick capped by splayed watertable copingstones to allow water to run off. The window surrounds are of red sandstone construction with flat lintels on the Market Street frontage and pointed arches on the Victoria Street side. The main entrance on Market Street is of stone construction and above the lintel there is a recessed stone tablet carved with the bank crest. The side entrance on Victoria Street is also of stone construction and the door has six panels. The slate roof has dormers set into it with triformed frames. The building was originally the premises of the Manchester & Liverpool District Banking Company Ltd and Slater's Trade Directories show that it was being used as a bank over the period 1903 to 1911. In 1911 the bank manager was Joseph Dunn.
