Hardman Boulevard, Spinningfields
Spinningfields is a development of office blocks which the developers hope will become a financial centre. One of the occupants is The Royal Bank of Scotland, which at present has great financial problems, so we hope the development (and the bank) will survive.

Sunlight House, Quay Street, Manchester
Most impressive and imposing, Manchester's tallest building when built in 1932, by Joseph Sunlight. Built of Portland stone, its height is accentuated by the dominant corner towers and their slit-like windows. Grade II* listed. It was built for Sunlight's property business, but now houses offices, shops and a health club, including the original basement swimming pool. The tower nicely complements that of the nearer building: Image
