Sale Town Hall - side aspect
The side wing of the building on Tatton Road was as carefully proportioned as the front aspect, though in the 1970s the overall look was disrupted by modernisation of the public entrance to the registrar's offices in the left centre of the picture. This was performed courtesy of newly formed Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council, which name is spelled out in full on the stonework.

Portrait Bench at Sale
According to the plaque on the wall "The characters for this Portrait Bench chosen by your community celebrate Sustrans winning a nationwide vote in 2007 to create new walking and cycling routes across the UK, funded by the Big Lottery Fund".
This one was erected in June 2010 and features Dr Charles White (1728-1813) co-founder of Manchester Royal Infirmary, Darren Campbell MBE the Olympic sprinter and William "Bill" Bleasdale a founder member of Watch House Cruising Club.
