Probably a 1960s/1970s block which has been given the treatment by Bruntwood, who seem to have pretty much sewn up property development in the Greater Manchester conurbation.
Currently occupied by, among others, a local housing trust.

Plain pillar monument
At the start of Barkers Lane off Ashton Lane. It is inscribed 'erected by William Cunliffe Brookes'. I have not been able to find out any history behind this monument.

The Gatehouse, Ashton Lane, Sale
Currently for sale, as the board indicates, and according to the details it dates from 1835. I assume this was the gatehouse to the now vanished Ashton Lodge. Lovely bargeboards.
