Historic Dovecote at Walkden Gardens, Sale, Cheshire
Walkden Gardens is a beautiful and peaceful hideaway in Sale, Cheshire, the land for which was donated to the people of Sale by the late Harry Walkden.
Pictured is the Grade II listed Victorian dovecote, the only remaining feature of Sale Old Hall (demolished in the 1930's), which was removed in 2003 from its original location 1.5 km away at Junction 6 of the M60, and reconstructed brick by brick at Walkden Gardens in 2004.
