Bin in Sale
A bin in the town centre of Sale, in Greater Manchester, England. I photographed this piece of street furniture because of the Trafford Council branding. Such bins are found throughout the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, but this particular one is on School Road, in the Sale town centre.

Sale station, up platform
Viewed from one of the Metrolink trams that now ply the route between Manchester and Altrincham, the station itself was originally built by the Manchester South Junction and Altrincham Railway in 1849. Of all the tram stops on the line it is the one that still looks most like a 'heavy' railway station.
