Offices by Pennington & Bridgen, 1876. Pevsner observes that the style is "Gothic, but no longer High Victorian Gothic. The portal may still be that, but on the facade there is too much bare wall, and the rhythm is already turning Late Victorian." Grade II listed.

8-14 King Street, Manchester
The main front actually facing Deansgate. By Clegg & Knowles, 1875, and fairly ordinary by their usual exalted standards. It does though have a grand entrance on King Street (Image]). Grade II listed. Built as shops and offices and still functioning as such.
