Trafford Town Hall is a fine building which stands on the north-west corner of Talbot Road and Warwick Road, across from the Old Trafford Cricket Ground. The building was designed by architects Bradshaw Gass & Hope and was built between 1931 and 1933 as a town hall for the Stretford Borough Council. It was renamed Trafford Town Hall following local government reorganisation in 1974 which led to the formation of the new Trafford Metropolitan Borough The building is Grade II listed as an “important example of interwar municipal architecture, undertaken with Government assistance during the Depression, and of local municipal pride” (English Heritage Building ID: 496191 http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-496191-trafford-town-hall- British Listed Buildings).
