Manchester Victoria Station Redevelopment, New Roof
The new station roof will consist of fifteen 1.2 metre-deep steel torus-shaped roof sections, the longest spanning 120 metres, supported on concrete buttresses and single cantilever columns on the station concourse.
The roof will be covered with ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) panels (http://construction.morgansindall.com/case-study/manchester-victoria-station-redevelopment Morgan Sindall).

Victoria Tram Stop Open Again
The Metrolink platform at Manchester Victoria Station reopened to passengers on 18th February 2015 after being closed to for almost 12 months to allow refurbishment work to proceed. Initially, the routes from Bury and Rochdale will be terminating at Victoria Station whilst the track in Balloon Street is being re-laid to allow double line running into the city centre to recommence.
This occasion was marked by the appearance of a number of these bright yellow signs in the vicinity.
