Henry Hall's memorial stone (front view)
This memorial to Henry Hall on Barton Road seems to be the only reminder of Barton Wesleyan Methodist chapel. The chapel was built in 1796 and closed in 1982. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/LAN/BartononIrwell/BartonRoadWesleyanMethodist

Junction of Barton Road and Peel Hall Road
This used to be where the A575 crossed the B5230 but the A575 was truncated in the 1960s and Barton Road, which crosses Barton Swing bridge and passes round the northern side of the Trafford Centre, is now the B5211. The B5230 Barton Lane used to continue through this crossroads but Peel Green Lane is now unclassified. The traffic-light controlled crossroads is also a box junction.
