Junction of Barton Road and Peel Hall Road
This used to be where the A575 crossed the B5230 but the A575 was truncated in the 1960s and Barton Road, which crosses Barton Swing bridge and passes round the northern side of the Trafford Centre, is now the B5211. The B5230 Barton Lane used to continue through this crossroads but Peel Green Lane is now unclassified. The traffic-light controlled crossroads is also a box junction.

Barton Road Swing Bridge
The Barton Road Swing Bridge, in the open position, to allow passage of the Mersey Ferry Snowdrop en route to Salford Quays. The adjacent Barton Swing Aqueduct is just visible beyond the brick valve house which controls the bridges.
