Eccles station
A 'binliner' train of empty domestic waste containers heads east through Eccles station. The branch to the Manchester Ship Canal is to the left of the platform. Only the most basic of 1970s bus shelters as passenger facilities.

Cross Keys
The Cross Keys was the oldest public house in Eccles and has an interesting design due to its evolution over 400 years, comprising timber framed elements. It closed in 2013. Plans are afoot to convert it into flats.
