Circular footpath, Astley and Bedford Moss
This is taken at the south-eastern section of what was, when I last visited this area back in December 2015, a clearly-defined footpath circumnavigating a modest portion of arable land and wetland scrape at Astley and Bedford Moss. Nature has taken over in all its diverse magnificence. Near Astley Green, Greater Manchester.

Astley Moss and Bedford Moss
Astley Moss and Bedford Moss are one of the few remnant lowland mosses remaining in the county. It has recently (2009/2010) undergone much management work by Lancashire Wildlife Trust to re-wet the site and over the previous years to remove the 'invasion' of birch trees.
