Worsley Dry Docks
The docks are Grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1215143 Possibly the earliest extant example of dry docks associated with a canal they were built around 1761 by John Gilbert and James Brindley engineers for the 3rd Duke of Bridgewater. Originally there were three docks. One has long been filled in but two survive.
