The Green
Fountain built 1905 on The Green at Worlsey, The fountain was erected by the 3rd Earl of Ellesemere in memory of the 3rd Duke of Bridgewater shortly after the removal of the former factory of the Duke which stood on the site of the green. The fountain stands on the site of the former factory chimney and re-uses bricks from it.

The Fountain On Worsley Green
This Grade II listed structure, on The Green at Worsley, was built in 1905 by the 3rd Earl of Ellesmere in memory of Francis, 3rd Duke of Bridgewater (founder of the Bridgewater Canal). It was originally a fountain, though sadly now dry. The base carries a Latin inscription which was too faded to read but if you are interested, there is a translation here (http://www.visitsalford.info/worsleygreen.htm ).
