Offices by Pennington & Bridgen, 1876. Pevsner observes that the style is "Gothic, but no longer High Victorian Gothic. The portal may still be that, but on the facade there is too much bare wall, and the rhythm is already turning Late Victorian." Grade II listed.

14 John Dalton Street, Manchester
Aka Ridgefield House. A bit more daring than most 1960s office blocks. The front section has an angled canopy and roof decorated with half-hexagons; behind is a concrete block with deeply moulded window modules.
A trendy restaurant, Panacea, occupies the front, offices behind and above.
