Equality & Fraternity on King Street
One time bastion of Manchester shopping, this Liberty shop was their first outside London and opened here in 1955. Sadly, all the regional stores closed from 1996 and people had to look elsewhere for those fabulous fabrics.

8-14 King Street, Manchester
The main front actually facing Deansgate. By Clegg & Knowles, 1875, and fairly ordinary by their usual exalted standards. It does though have a grand entrance on King Street (Image]). Grade II listed.
Built as shops and offices and still functioning as such.
