Equality & Fraternity on King Street
One time bastion of Manchester shopping, this Liberty shop was their first outside London and opened here in 1955. Sadly, all the regional stores closed from 1996 and people had to look elsewhere for those fabulous fabrics.

Manchester Flower Show 2022
Electronic advertising display on king Street promoting the Manchester Flower Show. The Manchester Flower Show was an annual fixture in Platt Fields Park dating back to the 1950s and ran until 2003. Following a 15 year hiatus, it was resurrected and moved to the city centre as part of the King Street Festival in 2018, and as a standalone event in 2021 as the city emerged from the coronavirus lockdown. The 2022 show coincided with the 4-day national celebrations to mark HM Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Manchester, King Street
King Street is normally one of the sites for the Manchester Christmas Markets. This year however, with the coronavirus pandemic lockdown restrictions in force and the area being placed in Tier 3 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_in_the_United_Kingdom , there is no Christmas Market and the street is almost deserted.
