King Street
Normally at this time of year King Street would be packed with market stalls spread along its centre. This year with the coronavirus pandemic lockdown restrictions in force and the area being placed in Tier 3 there is no Christmas Market and the street is almost deserted.

Manchester Flower Show 2022, King Street
The Manchester Flower Show was an annual fixture in Platt Fields Park dating back to the 1950s and ran until 2003. Following a 15-year hiatus, it was resurrected and moved to the city centre as part of the King Street Festival in 2018, and as a standalone event in 2021 as the city emerged from the coronavirus lockdown. The 2022 show coincided with the 4-day national celebrations to mark HM Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
