1-7 and 9-21 Princess Street, Manchester
A fine, contrasting pair. On the left is red-brick Tudor-Gothic with stone dressings and "delicate traceried parapets and terracotta panels". By Pennington & Bridgen, 1877. Grade II listed. To the right is a more muscular all-stone affair with prominent arches, gables and corner turret, perhaps slightly reminiscent of a fortress. By Waddington, Son & Dunkerly, 1902. Grade II listed.
