24 Mount Street, Manchester
Dating from the 1970s perhaps. Lots of vertical accents, bands of brick separated by narrow strips of window. Slightly forbidding. Currently known as London Scottish House. In 2007 it was sold for £20 million, and there were plans to demolish it for something more exciting. That plan might have foundered in light of the economic climate.
