24 Mount Street, Manchester
Dating from the 1970s perhaps. Lots of vertical accents, bands of brick separated by narrow strips of window. Slightly forbidding. Currently known as London Scottish House.
In 2007 it was sold for £20 million, and there were plans to demolish it for something more exciting. That plan might have foundered in light of the economic climate.

Emmeline Pankhurst at the tram stop
The statue of Emmeline Pankhurst, unveiled on 14 December 2018 marking the centenary of the first women to vote in a General Election, is located in the heart of the city that was her birthplace, Manchester. Across St Peter's Square are the Midland Hotel and the Central Library.

St Georges House, Peter Street
Built in 1911 for the Y.M.C.A in brown and buff Burmantoft terracotta similar in style to the Y.M.C.A in Brooklyn New York of 1885 incorporating gymnasium with oval running track round it and swimming bath plus other sporting facilities needless to say all this has been ripped out and is now used as offices.

Midland Hotel, Peter Street
Built 1898-1903 for the Midland Railway by their chief architect Charles Trubshaw in red brick and brown terracotta, originally linked at the rear to the Central Station now G-Mex.
