Mosley Street Ready For Single Line Working
As the next phase in the redevelopment of St Peter's Square, Metrolink trams will once again run through the square having been absent for the last two months during work on the new tram station. For the next few months, trams will only run through, not stopping at, the square until the new station has been completed. They will run on a single track which can be seen here in Mosley Street. To ensure that trams travelling in alternate directions cannot use the track at the same time, drivers have to wait here and will be given a token by an operative in the hut. The token will be carried to the end of the section, where it will be given to a tram travelling in the opposite direction.
