Was this house once "Avago"
If my memory serves me correctly, the right-hand house of this pair was in the 1950s the home of Wilfred Pickles. He had a successful radio programme "Avago" (Have a Go!) at that time. I visited this spot recently after nearly 50 years and it was hard to identify. I do recall in the late sixties that it had become "47". The only evidence I can find of the original house is on an old Pathe News clip at: http://www.britishpathe.com/video/stills/behind-the-voice-the-man-with-a-20-000-000-audienc
