A Walk in Didsbury Village (92) Didsbury Primary School
Didsbury Primary School (C of E). Early 20th century? The same pattern of bricklaying which was used in the terrace at the end of Grange Lane nearer to Wilmslow Road is found here, so the two constructions are probably roughly contemporary with one another.

A Walk in Didsbury Village (79) Didsbury Park Path towards exit
Didsbury Park A view towards the exit on Wilmslow Road. The other wing of Viceroy Court overlooks the park. I am coming to the conlcusion that the trees with peeling bark, mentioned earlier, are plane trees.

A Walk in Didsbury Village (79) Didsbury Park Flowerbed
Didsbury Park Towards the exit on Wilmslow Road is a flowerbed. Marguerites, featured here are a massively dependable perennial which has no pests to mention. It thrives under the plane(?) tree.

A Walk in Didsbury Village (80) Didsbury Park Flowerbed
Didsbury Park Towards the exit on Wilmslow Road is a flowerbed. A collection of plants in this bed includes a rose bush in flower, sedums, lavender, ornamental variegated grass, stachys(?) an artichoke (or is it a chardon - hard to tell unless you try to eat it), a type of aster, probably Michaelmas daisies, buddleia. Some I don't know. Rockery is used as a traditional border which gives added interest. The small green plants growing at footpath level by the rockery edge are probably from last year's marigolds (calendula).

A Walk in Didsbury Village (91) Grange Lane
Grange Lane On the right as you leave Wilmslow Road there is a detached building on Grange Lane. It looks Georgian. There are two houses attached. From my recollection, it may have been extended from its original form. There is a tree in the garden which I think could be a Caucasian wing-nut. Roses in bloom in the garden and moss on the riven sandstone wall capping blocks.
