A Walk in Didsbury Village (90) Grange Lane
Grange Lane. The terraced houses are brick built in what looks like a "headers" only pattern (no stretcher courses). Unusual. The school in the next large building.

A Walk in Didsbury Village (92) Didsbury Primary School
Didsbury Primary School (C of E). Early 20th century? The same pattern of bricklaying which was used in the terrace at the end of Grange Lane nearer to Wilmslow Road is found here, so the two constructions are probably roughly contemporary with one another.

A Walk in Didsbury Village (39) Elegant Brick built Row of Shops
East Side This row of brick built two storey terraced houses and shops is architecturally pleasing. The first floor windows have an arrangement of three arched windows, one being central and larger than the other two. The second floor windows also feature a shallower brick arch. These buildings are clearly the work of a master bricklayer. The earlier building housing the Halifax Building Society, tec, with impressive pediments, has something of the same style. Most of the premises are occupied by restaurants.

A Walk in Didsbury Village (41) Restaurants abound Zeugma, Bella Vita
East side Two of the clutch of restaurants mentioned earlier. Zeugma and Bella Vita. Planted troughs give the impression of a natural growth, but closer inspection reveals artifice.
