A Walk in Didsbury Village (71) Didsbury Park Cupressus Trees
Didsbury Park Public parks often remind me of the film "Blow Up", especially when they are more or less deserted. Those who know the film will follow my train of thought. The director of Blow Up, Michelangelo Antonioni stated that the film "is not about man's relationship with man, it is about man's relationship with reality".

Didsbury Park It looks as if the gated area is intended to be dog free. See previous comment. There are some large cupressus trees in the park.

Demolition, Sandhurst Road, Manchester
Location a bit hazy. I believe this was part of Manchester Metropolitan University's Didsbury campus.
New houses have since been built on the site.

Didsbury Park I expect this gate is unlocked at certain hours. Specimen trees may have been planted in this area or it may be reserved for some other purpose.

Didsbury Park The trunks of the cupressus trees are imposing. The trees cast a heavy shade which is probably very welcome on hot days.

Didsbury Park
Didsbury Park was one of the first municipal planned parks in the city, redesigned in the 1920s to include recreational features for residents. The site mainly consists of amenity grassland, woodland and flora. The park is thought to have an old air-raid shelter underneath the football pitch.
