EMU to Crewe at East Didsbury
At East Didsbury Railway Station. 323229, an ex-British Rail class 323 passenger train is en-route to Crewe. Although it says "Crewe" at front the rear unit is reading "Liverpool Lime Street" which is maybe where it started its journey.
The British Rail Class 323 electric multiple units (EMUs) were built by Hunslet TPL from 1992-93. Forty-three of these 3-car units were built for inner-suburban services around Birmingham and Manchester. These trains were the last vehicles to be built by the struggling manufacturer Hunslet before it collapsed. These trains were also amongst the last to be constructed in the UK before rail privatisation.

DMU 195 130 on a service from Manchester Airport to Windermere whisks its way through East Didsbury
The British Rail Class 195 Civity is a class of diesel multiple-unit passenger train manufactured by CAF, owned by Eversholt Rail Group and currently operated by Northern Trains. The units were originally due to enter service in December 2018 alongside the Class 331 units, however, they were instead first introduced on 1 July 2019 under previous operator Arriva Rail North on the Manchester Airport and Liverpool Lime Street via Warrington, and Manchester Airport to Barrow-in-Furness routes. The introduction of new rolling stock for the Northern franchise was fuelled by the need to phase out the unpopular Pacer trains by 2020. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_195

Kingsway and Wilmslow Road
On the right is the A34 Kingsway, one of the major roads into Manchester from the south. On the left is the B5095 Wilmslow Road. A large pedestrian footbridge spans both roads. In the middle a section leads down to the Gateway pub. Accessed by steps it is almost just as easy to cross the roads at ground level as they are controlled by traffic lights.
