Levenshulme Pools
The historic Levenshulme swimming baths were saved from closure by a public campaign in 2011 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-12600450 BBC News).
However, a newly-built Joint Service Centre incorporating a pool, gym and library has now been proposed for the area and so the future of the 1930s building which is not listed, unlike the Carnegie library opposite, seems uncertain (http://menmedia.co.uk/southmanchesterreporter/news/s/1508732_dont-give-up-on-levenshulme-baths-plea- MEN South Manchester Reporter).

The Grade II listed church https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1254684 was built in 1860 by Alfred G Fisher and enlarged in 1872 and 1896.
In recent years it has combined with the former St Andrew's Church and is now serves the combined parishes of St Peter with St Andrew. The Upper Room made a TV appearance in the late 1990s when it was redesigned by Changing Rooms' Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen in a swap with the local Baptist Church! http://stpeterandstmarklevenshulme.org.uk/about-2/
