Gorton Station
This station is on the Manchester-Hadfield line it was one of the first lines to be electrified. It also marks the boundary with Abbey Hey.

Gorton railway station
Opened in 1906 by the Great Central Railway on its line from Manchester to Sheffield via Woodhead, this station replaced an earlier one that would have been located just beyond the bridge in the distance. View west towards Ashburys and Manchester.
